I am a homegrown El Pasoan, who graduated from El Paso High and the University of Texas at El Paso. I am an art educator and currently working on my Masters in Art Education. My artistic style I derive from abstract ideas in shape and color choices.

I was inspired by the countless stories of the people who were and have been affected by COVID-19. In many places, these items are easily discarded. However, they hold memories of people just trying to get through these trying times.

This photograph depicts a reflection of what the world is going through. Sunset in the background represents the old light of day resting the reminders of COVID-19 and for us to look forward to the new light.
