Jean is a retired public school teacher and children’s book author as well as a visual artist. Jean’s artwork is inspired by nature and current events where she tries to capture the emotion and shared experience of the time. Jeans artistic style is colorful and eclectic and uses watercolors and acrylics to create abstract style paintings and collages. This artwork is inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulties of living through it. Jean states, “I am eternally grateful for the sacrifices made by all the health care workers who have given so much to help so many for so long.”

The word CALM is presented in soothing pale colors in the hope that a gentle feeling results when viewed.
