My name is Carolina Franco, I’m a junior at Riverside High School. When creating these artwork I like to focus on nature, I love the landscapes nature creates and just seeing how it creates its own art it inspires me and makes me create wonderful pieces in its honor. Artist Inspiration : Please type brief inspiration statement for artwork to be included in the exhibit I created this digital art piece, inspired in Dr. Yashica Robinson. When I was researching “Black Excellence” characters who aren’t as recognized or known by the population, I found Dr. Yashica Robinson and the more I researched the more I felt inspired by her. She is a obstetrician and gynecologist and part of Physicians for Reproductive Health Board Member and Medical Director of Alabama Women's Center. Dr. Yashica Robinson is part of the Women’s Rights activist who ghts for women's agency over their bodies and lives. She ghts against the most restrictive anti-abortion bill in the country while defying myriad dangers to perform abortions in a state trying to outlaw them.
