Angie states, Right now, the inspiration for my work is Black Lives in general. With all that is going on in our country I feel as if it is my duty to speak up on these matters. I cannot simply stay quite so I am using my art as a tool. In my Painting titled “The Systematic Whitewashing of our Reality and the Collective Blackening of our hearts” the explanation is in the title because I want the message to be perfectly understood. This painting represents the systematic oppression that so many of us are faced with and how it has reached a level that many of us can no longer endure, we are angry.
