When I am painting, I am focusing on putting my thoughts and feelings to paper, canvas, or whatever.  I am trying my very hardest to be unapologetically myself and speak up for myself and so many like me.  As a Black and Hispanic woman, my voice is often muffled by what people think I should be and how I should represent myself.   So, I use my art to be heard in hopes that one day my voice will emulate the confidence I find when I am paintings.
