As an artist living in Las Cruces, Alejandra has been studying and creating art for many years.

Alejandra states, I joined the world of Fine Art while studying Interior design in 1996. My favorite classes were drawing, painting and Art History. I started painting the works of famous artists like Picasso and Dali and In that process I developed my own style. The monotypes I make are meant to express the miracle of life. They include human silhouettes, crop circles and world places, with a depth contrast and a textural richness.

In this mixed media piece called Enjoy Life Again highlighting Questlove, Alejandra was inspired by the simple things in life.  She states, I believe that this pandemic has helped me to enjoy the simple things in life again.  Music is one of those things. Ahmir Khalib Thompson, known  as Questlove, is an American musician, songwriter, disc jockey and music journalist. He is the drummer  in the hip hop band the Roots appearing on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014.
