Soldier Art Workshop Program

The Soldier Art Workshop Program  is sponsored by the EPAA, in collaboration with military sponsorship from the Fort Bliss MWR and the International Museum of Art.  Artists from the EPAA, Plein Air Painters of El Paso, the Pastel Society of El Paso, and the Rio Bravo Watercolorists are inspired to share their artistic expertise and as a result beautiful artwork is created.

The program provides our soldiers and their families with a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills and address anxiety resulting from military-life changes through art workshops.  Art is used as a medium for the solder to help transition to normal military and family life after deployment.

Art workshops include encaustic, painting, drawing, photography and sculpture and the response from artists, soldiers and the community has been heart warming.

All art supplies are provided at no cost to the participants.  We are reaching out to the public for funds to help pay for these supplies.  Please consider contributing to this worthy project.  All donations are tax-deductible.  To donate online visit our payment page and choose Soldier Art Workshop.  To pay through the mail, checks should be made payable to the El Paso Art Association, and sent to 500 W. Paisano Dr, El Paso, TX  79902.
